Dominique Hogan-Doran, SC is a barrister and Senior Counsel of the Australian Bar. She practises nationally in all kinds of complex commercial and regulatory disputes, specialising in financial services regulation and in Royal Commissions & public inquiries.
Ms Hogan-Doran is ranked by The Legal 500 as a leading silk for Commercial Disputes and for White Collar Crime and Regulatory, by Best Lawyers for Litigation, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Superannuation Law and Financial institutions, and by Chambers & Partners for Dispute Resolution.
Ms Hogan-Doran is experienced in leading and managing large scale, high profile cases. She was Senior Counsel for the Commonwealth in the Royal Commission into the Robodebt Royal Commission (2022-23) and Senior Counsel Assisting the Royal Commission into National Natural Disaster Arrangements (2020). She also appeared for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Financial Services and Superannuation Industry (2018-19).
She accepts briefs direct from in-house counsel of large corporates and government, as well as appointments as a Mediator, Arbitrator, or Expert Determiner.
Ms Hogan-Doran is also an experienced Non-Executive Director and Trustee. She is currently a director of Natural Hazards Research Australia, the Australian Cricketers Retirement Account investment fund, and Players Cordon Foundation, a new charity established to benefit the Australian cricket community. She previously served as a Director of industry superfund Club Plus Super, now part of AustralianSuper.
