Mr Justice (David) Scoffield is a Judge of the High Court of Northern Ireland, appointed in 2020.  He is currently assigned to the Judicial Review Division.  David was called to the Bar of Northern Ireland in 1999 and took silk in 2011.  

Whilst in private practice he specialised in public and constitutional law, including human rights, and appeared regularly in the higher courts including the UK Supreme Court.  

David is also Chair of the Northern Ireland Law Commission; and a Bencher of both the Inn of Court of Northern Ireland and Middle Temple.
